Add the ability to contact the event organizer
It would be great to be able to contact the event organizer with questions, concerns, or notes about attendance.
6 votesThanks Scott! This is definitely something I’ve been thinking about. We’ll definitely consider this and keep you posted as to it’s progress.

Provide a list/directory of groups
I am a member of a couple of groups on gathers.us, but I would like to get a listing - maybe I could find more groups that would interest me. Now I find them by luck from tweets

Provide the ability to RSVP from a mobile browser.
Trying to RSVP from mobile Safari on an iPhone (iOS 5.1.1, iPhone 4S) doesn't work. The RSVP pop up keeps repositioning itself to just off screen bottom right.

Add the ability delete an event
It woud be great to let the administrator delete an event

Increase the RSVP limit
I'm trying the message board since I cannot seem to get through via email. Is gathers.us still being supported? I had an event that needed more than 50 RSVPs but I have been unable to contact anyone to pay them to get this limit increased for us.

add a date/time coordination engine
As an event organizer, I would like to be able to add a list of potential attendees. Each attendee would be able to specify blackout/available dates/times they could attend the event. This would allow me to pick the best date/time for a meeting.

Preview layout
When creating an event, I find it a bit frustrating that as soon as I click "create event" the emails are fired off to group members, even though my layout may not be rendering correctly.
Can we have a preview option?

Allow short names/alias for group in the url
My group name is kind of long, so it makes the url kind of crazy long. I'd like to provide an alias for the group name for use in the URL.
http://software-craftsmanship-mchenry-county.gathers.us/
could be setup like
Like user names it would be on a first-come first serve basis. So the Southwestern Continental Marching Corp would be SOL cause I'd be there first.

Upon entering a the date for a new event show a list of other events on the same date.
To help avoid scheduling events that may attact a similar audience or compete for attendance.
So that I might change the date of my event or be aware of conflicts.
When I enter the date for my new event.
Then show me a list of other events occuring on the same date.3 votes -

Make the time and date more prominent on the event page
The time is always in a small font that my old man eyes can't see, but that's one of the most important pieces of info on the page.

don't require a physical address.
Can't events be held online?

Remove an RSVP without having an account
I RSVP'd with only my email. I did not have a gathersus account at the time. I could not find any way to remove the RSVP, even after creating an account and logging in and visiting the page repeatedly.
The confirmation email mentions the ability to remove RSVPs, so I know you have this feature, but I can't find it anywhere, even on the dashboard.
The event is now full, and I was not logged in when I RSVP'd. So maybe one of those things has something to do with it. The event is august-2012-boston-software-craftsmanship-group-meeting.
1 voteYeah, sorry about that. The issue actually is that when an event turns off it’s RSVPs the button goes away. We were made aware of the issue this morning from another Boston SC member. If you email feedback@gathers.us we can help you get your RSVP removed.

Fix gravitar display
I recently RSVP'd to http://gathers.us/events/chicago-software-craftsmanship-december-meeting from my iPhone. The iPhone has a feature that capitalizes the first letter of a text box. So, it capitalized the first letter of my email address. This resulted in my gravitar not displaying properly. I then tried to remove my RSVP and re-RSVP with the same email, except with a lowercase first letter. The gravitar displayed properly. So, I'm not sure if this is something on Gravitar's end or yours. Thanks!

Email address in Change my RSVP should default to user's email address
If you know the user's email address, then the Change My RSVP email address should be defaulted to that email address.
Not much reason not to if you already know that information.
